Last month I wrote about the anti-war art of Joe and Gerry Simboli. The reaction of my friends was pretty amazing. Many people I know purchased their posters.
In that last communication I mentioned that the Simbolis also designed a series of posters depicting the zodiacs in the late 1960s. It makes perfect sense that Paul Smith licensed these images a few years back to adorn his clothing.
The Simbolis have a handful of these vintage posters left over. Printed in 1969, they're a graphic remembrance of another era. Yet, they're still oh so modern. The 12 designs are beautiful. The colors pop. The graphics, bold. Where the Simboli's war series was thought-provoking, these posters are smile-provoking.
We're selling the vintage posters for $175. Joe and Gerry will sign each of the posters. They're also capable of reprinting the posters in smaller sizes if they're too big. I can get pricing for those.
But it is the vintage posters I most adore. I cling to the music, art, furniture, and designs of the past. This was a way for me to own a small part of that colorful and foreign world. Email me if you want one. The numbers of the vintage posters are very limited and they measure 24 by 36.
