April 17, 2008

I got up and walked to work. The weather is just lovely. I am becoming addicted to these Amy’s Bread sandwiches with goat cheese and eggplant. Went to the Upper East Side and met Angela Adams before hew lecture. A guy, and I am forgetting his name, came up to me and said “are you Bradford?” Turns out he knows Roby and Shannon Murray and recognized my face from the internet. He was once babysat by Angela on an island off Maine. Small world.

I cabbed downtown and popped into Fedora Bar and had vodka and sodas with Jon Robin Baitz. The bartender and owner had been there for 30 plus years. JRB had gotten me a shirt (I saw him wearing it on Facebook and had to have it). We then went to Blue Hill for dinner and had the tasting and talked with the two guys next to us all night long. They were philosophers from Yale and Oxford. The food was great, except for what Robbie and I called the guacamole sorbet. Good times.
