I stayed home from work. My doctor told me I needed a day to relax and I did as I felt really sick today. I watched The View and took a nap and read and drank Gatorade after Gatorade. Then I started to feel better. The antibiotics are working.
I met Conor McGill and Ben at Bouchon Bakery in the Time Warner center. Had some soup and then we were joined by Dusti Smith and we went and saw k.d. lang. She played The Allen Room, the glorious glass room looking out onto the park, across to the UES, and east on 59th street. It is the room Ellen DeGeneres, another famous lezbo, plays when she's in town. It was magical. lang's band was tight, sexy, and moving. Her voice never sounded better. And Tony Bennett sat just a few seats from me. Watching him watching her was a sweet treat.
