Woke at 630AM. Met Darin and Marie at Central Park and East 92nd. We ran across 92nd, down along the East river passing the United Nations and the 4 bridges connecting Manhattan on the east. We circled around the tip of Manhattan, back up the West Side Highway until we reached 72nd. Cut across town into the park, south along the park's trail, and ended up where we began pretty much. 3 hours and 15 minutes. Approximately 20 miles. Dear God.
Afterwards, I went to school and sewed. My classes end tomorrow. This has been the hardest and least rewarding of all my Parsons semesters. 4 credits left, thankfully. Adrian Albino came over at 8:30PM. Cabbed to Michael Lucas' house. Will Wikle (the hair is crazy!) and Jason Bellini joined us. Went to Andy Towle's birthday party. Seen: Matthew Kelleher, Brian Babst, David Hauslaib (he and Michael were friendly), Erik Kaiser, David Grant, Joe Landau, Juan Penalosa, Josh & Josh, Bobby Harling, Stuart Elliot, Ben Widdicombe, etc. Pretty much every gay in Manhattan. The house was covered in Andy's pictures. He has had several incarnations like a gay blogging Cher. My favorite look: the pink and green striped Speedo. I want one now! Erik's photos here.

Walked home, alone, in the rain, at midnight. And OMG. There was a bird in the apartment yesterday! It was gorgeous, a scarlet tanager. It would not come down from the windowsill and since we have 17 foot windows I could not get it. It freaked me out, but the bird was so beautiful. Finally he flew down and I opened the window and off he flew. I did not take a picture. Stupid. The dove who lived on our other ledge last summer and who had two babies last summer came back a couple weeks ago and rebuilt the nest. She’s gone missing this week. Sad.
